I always felt the music was inspired by Joe Satriani’s Surfing With the Alien album as this came out shortly after that. I can just imagine him playing this on guitar.

I remember when fighting the giant boar, you just borrow Little John's staff, and keep spinning it and the boar can't hurt you but will take damage every time it charges you. Classic game and great movie. 👍

Most of the time when you kill the different things they look like a cat doing the splits,cats with wings,flattened cats or sitting down lol.The pot of gold looks like a smiling face with hair lol

Between this and that Fantastic 4 movie from the late 2000s, Silver Surfer just can't catch a break.

I do agree that some of the music is a bit out of place, but that doesn't hurt the game AT ALL for me. Music is still awesome and that ain't bad :)

Yo the music in this is dope!!! The title screen melody / synth sound melody is really ahead of its time I feel. But damn! Pretty cool. And otherwise…I looked this up because of AVGN and wanted to see someone beat it because it looked like a very, very difficult game. But omg the song in the first level even is tripping me out man! Crazy shit! Didn’t even know the NES was capable of some of those sounds! Wow!

The music is cool but I wish they made the music more dark and gritty using the movies music.

The music really brings back memories. The angle of view was really unique for an adventure game. The story and atmosphere was kind of dark, almost scary at times. But it was really fun to shoot arrows like it was a machine gun lol.

The soundtrack composer really having fun composing great tunes, but the level designer and the programmer? I don't know.

I like the game concept, but the game should have allowed you to change characters in every mode besides melee battles (when every character in your party fights hordes of foes) and there should have been a recovery time whenever the player is hit. At least, you are allowed a few chances before you get a haunting “Game Over.” Still, this game seemed pretty ambitious, for its time. In fact, Sculptured Software started this game out as their own “Legend of Robin Hood” game. So Virgin Games probably put a time constraint after getting the rights to the movie and hiring Sculptured Software to slightly retool the game. And this game turned out to be pretty good, despite the flaws I mentioned.

The Hall Monsters used to scare me quite a bit as a kid!
